"A safe community that welcomes all, with excellent schools, a diverse housing stock, ample recreation opportunities, and efficient services all delivered in a fiscally responsible manner.

"We fund our schools, we fund public safety, we fund our pensions, and we keep both spending and taxes stable. I intend to continue to do just that.

"My New Year’s resolution is that I will continue as I have done for the past six years to work together with a focus on the common purpose of continued progress for our community.

"I will continue to be guided as I have always been by a simple principle. Let’s get the job done, the right way."

Rina Bakalar, Director of Economic and Community Development

"For 2024, my wish is that inflation and interest rates come down! I resolve to continue to proactively support our existing and new businesses to succeed and grow, and work tenaciously to advance progress in the Trumbull Mall, Trumbull Corporate Park, and Trumbull Center areas."

Lucinda Timpanelli, Board of Education Chair

"Our BOE members devote much time and an admirable dedicated effort to support our students, programs and staff. I would offer a 'wish' to see all boards working together with us to support the BOE in the upcoming budget process."

Noreen Wilpiszeski, Recreation Program Manager

"Trumbull Parks and Recreation's 2024 resolution is to provide quality multigenerational programming, special events and concerts for the community. We hope to see more residents utilize our park system and the amenities within!"

"My hope for the new year is that I can bring the Trumbull community closer together through art, music and creative expression."
