Trumbull Legislators Thank Residents For Successful Food Drive
Legislators recently concluded a successful Restock the Shelves Food Drive to benefit the Trumbull Food Pantry and local families.
TRUMBULL, CT — Legislators recently concluded a successful food drive to benefit the Trumbull Food Pantry and local families in need.
According to a news release provided by House Republicans, State Reps. David Rutigliano (R-123), Ben McGorty (R-122) and Tony Scott (R-112) concluded the Restock the Shelves Food Drive last weekend.
"Thank you to all those who helped out and participated," Rutigliano said in a news release. "It is always heartwarming to see the amazing sense of community throughout Trumbull."

The aim of the food drive was to restock the Trumbull Food Pantry shelves after once the holidays were over and as the winter temperatures begin to plunge.
"Thank you all for your support of our 'Restock the Shelves' food drive in Trumbull," McGorty said in a news release, "your generous support helped us strengthen one of our great community assets in a time of great need."

The Trumbull lawmaking trio were able to collect three shopping carts of food in the two hours they stood outside a Stop and Shop store in town.
"I'm thankful for the generosity of those in our community who came out to help their neighbors facing food insecurity," Scott said in a news release.
The food pantry is always in need of non-food items, like, laundry detergent, dish soap and hygiene products, and shampoo, conditioner, lotion, toothpaste, deodorant. A full list of needs for the Trumbull Food Pantry can be found here.
