Trumbull Man Charged With 3rd DUI In 5 Weeks: PD

A Trumbull man is facing his third DUI charge in five weeks.

TRUMBULL, CT — A Trumbull man was arrested on DUI charges for the third time in five weeks on Sunday, according to police.

A concerned citizen called police and said that Kevin Basham, 60, was driving after drinking. Police eventually found Basham driving on Main Street. He was pulled over after an officer noticed the vehicle swerving, police said.

Basham failed a field sobriety test and refused a BAC test. Officers found several open and unopened alcohol containers in his vehicle, according to police.

He was charged with DUI and failure to drive in the proper lane.

Basham was arrested on Feb. 15 and Feb. 26 on DUI charges. Those cases are also pending.
