Trumbull Man Charged with Assaulting Relative
The two had different versions of how the event happened, police said.

A Trumbull man was charged with assaulting a female relative after a verbal argument escalated, police said.
Police responded to a Sallyann Drive residence on Sept. 18 on a report of a domestic incident.
The reported victim told police that she and Frank Galletti, 73, got into an argument while watching TV and she started to record him.

He allegedly got out of his chair and began to attack her, police said. She was struck several times in the face. The victim then ran toward the bathroom and was pushed, which caused her glasses to fall off and become bent, police said.
She locked herself in the bathroom and called 911.

Galletti told police he knocked her phone out of her hand while she was trying to record him and that caused her glasses to fall off. He denied hitting her.
He was charged with disorderly conduct and third-degree assault.
