Trumbull Man Charged with DUI

The man was charged after a crash involving his motorcycle, police said.

TRUMBULL, CT — A Trumbull motorcyclist was charged with DUI following a crash, police said.

Police were called to a motorcycle-involved crash on White Plains Road on Aug. 26, 2016. A motorcycle had rear-ended another vehicle, police said.

Motorcycle operator Matthew O'Cheskey, 36, went to the hospital for treatment of injuries.

They suspected he may have been driving while intoxicated because he smelled of alcohol, police said.

Police obtained a search warrant for O'Cheskey's blood and it was found his blood-alcohol level was .193, which is above the legal limit for operating a vehicle, according to police.

An arrest warrant was approved and O'Cheskey was arrested Jan. 17.
