Trumbull Man Killed In 1-Vehicle Crash: Police
The crash occurred Wednesday afternoon on Daniels Farm Road, according to Trumbull police.

TRUMBULL, CT — A 59-year-old Trumbull man was killed in a one-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon on Daniels Farm Road, according to Trumbull police.
The victim, Scott Polke of Clover Hill Road, was the driver and only occupant inside the vehicle.
Police said the crash occurred at about 3:30 p.m., and led to the temporary closure of the road between Little Plain Road and Laurel Street. The road was reopened at 6 p.m.

"Arriving Trumbull officers began rendering medical aid to him," police said in a statement. "Trumbull EMS arrived and assisted with treating the victim before transporting him to Saint Vincent's Hospital where he later died from his injuries. The Trumbull Center Fire Department also responded and assisted with securing the scene."
According to police, Polke was traveling southbound on Daniels Farm Road before it collided with a tree near Laurel Street, and the accident scene spanned the entire block of Daniels Farm Road between Laurel Street and Little Plain Road.

"The Trumbull and Fairfield Police Departments' Traffic Divisions are currently investigating this
incident," police said. "The cause of the accident and cause of death have not been determined at this time."
