Trumbull Man Receives Additional Child Sexual Assault Charges

Javier Valdovinos was charged with more counts of sexual assault.

A Trumbull man has received additional criminal charges related to an ongoing investigation into alleged child sexual abuse.

Javier Valdovinos, 54, of White Plains Road, was brought to court in Bridgeport on Monday where he was served with another arrest warrant.

The new warrant charges him with two counts of first-degree sexual assault, six counts of fourth-degree sexual assault, and eight counts of risk of injury to a minor, said Lt. Leonard Scinto, police spokesman.

An additional $200,000 bond was placed on Valdovinos, who is currently incarcerated on previous warrants from the same investigation.

Valdovinos was charged earlier this year with sexually assaulting three underage family members over the course of several years. The reported victims were two girls, 12 and 14-years-old and a 14-year-old boy.

He was most recently charged with two counts of first-degree sexual assault, two counts of risk of injury to a minor and fourth-degree sexual assault, the Connecticut Post reports. A Bridgeport woman reported that her daughter had been sexually assaulted by Valdovinos earlier this year.
