Trumbull Man Stole from Parents' Safe: PD

The man had obtained a key to the safe and stole more than $1,000, police said.

TRUMBULL, CT — A local man who was accused of stealing more than $1,000 from his parents' safe was arrested, according to police.

Daniel Devellis, 23, of Trumbull took about $1,400 from the safe in January 2016, police said. Of that about $350 was recovered. There was no forced entry to the house and police believe Devellis located the key inside the home.

He was stopped by Fairfield Police March 16 and brought to Trumbull headquarters where he was served with the warrant. He is charged with fourth-degree larceny and was released on a promise to appear.
