Trumbull, Monroe Mixed-Use Development To Break Ground Soon: Town
The Crossing at Pequonnock, located at the border of Trumbull and Monroe, is set to break ground soon, according to town officials.

TRUMBULL, CT — The Crossing at Pequonnock, a mixed use development located at the border of Trumbull and Monroe, is set to break ground in June, according to town officials.
In an economic development update posted to the town website Friday, Trumbull officials said sewer infrastructure work for the project, formerly known as Gateway Commons, is underway.
According to the town, the project will bring 88,000 square feet of mixed development space to the border of the two towns on Route 25.

Town officials also noted 61 percent of the space will be located in Trumbull and 39 percent will be in Monroe.
The project will also include 28,000 square feet of new commercial space for restaurants and service-related businesses, according to the town.

"Trumbull has been working collaboratively with Monroe on this project for over five years, and it will bring new grand list growth to our town," the update reads.
According to town officials, the development includes sidewalk connections and a link to the Pequonnock River Trail is being explored.
"Trumbull is pleased to be working with New England Coastal Development Group," the update reads, "and we look forward to seeing this come to fruition."
