Trumbull Names Current Wilton Police Chief as New Trumbull Chief

Lombardo, a longtime Trumbull resident, will replace current Chief Thomas Kiely.

Trumbull has named current Wilton Police Chief Michael Lombardo as the new Trumbull police chief.

Lombardo, a longtime Trumbull resident, will replace current Chief Thomas Kiely, who has served more than 40 years with the town, according to the Trumbull Times.

Lombardo said he knows he has big shoes to fill.

Lombardo was promoted to Wilton police chief in October 2009. He was previously a captain and has been with the department since June 1981. He is scheduled to take over Trumbull’s department early next year.
