Trumbull Nature, Arts Center To Host Earth Day Family Event

Celebrate Earth Day 2024 with the family at the Trumbull Nature and Arts Center and enjoy a number of free events.

TRUMBULL, CT — Celebrate Earth Day with the family at the Trumbull Nature and Arts Center on April 20 from 1 p. . to 4 p.m.

According to a news release provided by the Long Hill Garden Club, a rain date is scheduled for April 21.

The garden club, a participating vendor, will have a number of free events, including nature crafting for the kids, houseplant cuttings, seeds and sunflower seedlings, botanical information from their master gardener, pH soil testing from your yard or garden (while supplies last).

Guests can also learn about the STEM books they donate to Trumbull schools.

Additional activities include visits with furry and scaly critters, a cherry picker truck and tree climbing demonstration from Bartlett Tree Experts, and crafts from the Trumbull Nature and Arts Center.

Enjoy a fun and educational free event for families with children of all ages. Donations are accepted and appreciated.

Residents can also come to the LHGC annual fund-raising Plant and Garden Shed Tag Sale event at the Trumbull Main Library on May 4 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The plants can be great Mother's Day gifts.
