Trumbull Police Arrest Man for Four More Burglaries

The man was already charged with one burglary after a foot chase, but investigators linked him to four more burglaries, police said.

TRUMBULL, CT- A Bridgeport man has been charged with four more Trumbull burglaries.

On Feb. 2 police arrested Geraldo Maldonado, 20, of Forest View Road in Bridgeport after a burglary and foot chase, said Lt. Leonard Scinto, police spokesman. He was found to be carrying a pellet gun and was charged with burglary and carrying a dangerous weapon.

Police had several open burglary investigations in Trumbull near Maldonado's address. Police obtained a search warrant for his home and recovered jewelry reported stolen during burglaries, Scinto said.

DNA was recovered from one burglary and police also got a search warrant for Maldonado's phone. Police linked Maldonado with four additional burglaries including two at the same residence.

He was charged with four counts of third-degree burglary, three counts of third-degree criminal mischief, sixth-degree larceny, third-degree larceny and possession of burglar tools. He was detained on a combined $200,000 bond.
