Trumbull Police Hiring School Crossing Guard

Police said applicants must be available for regular school start and end times, as well as for late openings and early dismissals.

TRUMBULL, CT — The Trumbull Police Department is now hiring to fill a school crossing guard position.

According to the department's Facebook page, the position will be located at the Tashua School Stonehouse/Fox post in the morning and afternoon.

The pay will be $15.75 per hour for two hours per day on school days only. The position will offer paid PTO but no other benefits, police said.

All necessary equipment and on the job training will be supplied by the department. Candidates must submit fingerprints and pass a background check, according to police.

Police also emphasized that all applicants must be able to commit to the position for at least the full 2024-25 school year. The deadline for submissions is April 15.
