Trumbull Police Offer E-Bike Safety Reminders For Residents
As e-bike use continues to increase across Trumbull, police want to remind everyone to ride safely and responsibly.

TRUMBULL, CT — As e-bike use continues to increase across Trumbull, police want to remind everyone to ride safely and responsibly.
In a Facebook post over the weekend, police said e-bikes are subject to traffic laws and riders must obey stop signs and signals, as well as ride with caution.
"Please be mindful of pedestrians," police wrote on Facebook, "especially on sidewalks and shared paths."

The following safety tips were provided by the Trumbull Police Department:
- Wear a helmet.
- Use lights/reflective gear.
- Ride at safe speeds.
- Parents—please supervise younger riders.
"Our goal is to keep everyone safe while enjoying the outdoors," the department's post reads. "We appreciate the community's cooperation as we continue education and enforcement efforts. Ride smart. Stay safe."
