Update: 80-Year-Old Trumbull Man Dies Shoveling Snow

He was shoveling snow when he collapsed.

Update: Despite the best efforts of first responders, the man died at St. Vincent’s Hospital, according to the CT Post. He was an Oldfield Road resident.

Trumbull Police and EMS responded to a report of a man who collapsed this morning while shoveling snow.

The 80-year-old man collapsed around 10:30 a.m., said Lt. Leonard Scinto, police spokesman. A family member initiated CPR and police officers continued upon arrival.

The man was administered oxygen and a defibrillator was used. He was transported by EMS to ST. Vincent’s Hospital. Police haven’t gotten word of his condition yet.
