Trumbull Police Take Part In Tip-A-Cop Fundraiser For Special Olympics
During the event, officers helped out waitstaff and worked for tips at a Trumbull restaurant by serving and mingling with customers.

TRUMBULL, CT — Trumbull police officers participated in a Tip-A-Cop fundraising event at a local restaurant over the weekend to benefit the Special Olympics.
In a news release, Police Lt. Brian Weir said the event was held Saturday at Old Towne Restaurant on Quality Street.
During the event, officers helped out waitstaff by serving and mingling with customers as they worked for tips, all of which were donated to Special Olympics Connecticut, according to Weir.

"We would like to thank Old Towne Restaurant for their support in hosting this wonderful event, and all the generous patrons who helped raise over $1,200 for this worthy cause," Weir said in a news release. "Some of our local athletes also attended to lend support for this fantastic event."
