TASHUA POOL

Major work on Tashua Pool will begin as soon as the 2023 summer season is over. The engineering work is being finalized and the project will go out to bid ASAP.

BEACH SPLASH PAD

The splash pad at Beach Memorial Park will go offline after the 2023 summer season. It is in the design phase now. Additional water reservoir tanks will be added underground to prevent the splash pad from depleting its water supply during peak usage.

OLD MINE BRIDGE (Pequannock River Trail)

The work has been awarded to Zeiss Construction Group. The work will begin in a few weeks, with completion anticipated in early July. The trail will be open from Old Mine Park and from Tait Road up to the bridge location, but access to cross the bridge will be unavailable during bridge reconstruction.

TWIN BROOKS PARK

The last section of directional flow of excess water is being completed now. Construction of headwalls, installation of guardrails, and rough grading of the roadway is underway. Seventy percent of the sidewalks are roughed in, topsoil is being readied for plantings. Expected completion date is fall 2023.

Residents may use the waterfall parking lot at Franklin Street to access the park and the trail system. The parking lot near the playground is also available. Enter from Brock Street to use. Bathroom opening will be delayed due to reconstruction of interior walls. Installation of interior doors revealed some structural issues that are now being repaired. It is a priority to finish the bathrooms at Twin Brooks Park. Porta-lets are in the park area.

ISLAND BROOK PARK

The recently renovated pickleball, tennis and basketball courts are open. Porta-lets are in place. Interior bathroom doors are being replaced now.

UNITY PARK

The bathrooms at Unity Park are slated to open in time for opening day for baseball.

INDIAN LEDGE PARK

Interior parking lot paving is complete. Road construction will begin by mid-April. Sidewalks will be installed to connect the lower parking area near the playground to the upper parking lots, providing safe passage for residents between the playground and the fields. Bathrooms at the playground will be open in early May.
