Trumbull Rep. Devlin Opposes Tax Hike

Trumbull State Rep. Laura Devlin opposed a tax package that passed the committee along party lines.

“I was astounded when I saw the tax hikes in Senate bill 946 and today, residents and small business owners came out in full-force to share the same sentiment,” she said. “Through their testimony, they outlined the devastating impact that these tax hikes would have on residents, businesses and jobs in our state.

She continued, “Connecticut already is one of the highest taxed states in the nation – raising taxes further on residents and an estimated 20,000 businesses isn’t the answer to our budget woes. We need to start living within our budget means and stop giving people a reason to leave our state,” Devlin said a member of the Finance committee.”
