Trumbull Resident Named Valedictorian Of Sacred Heart Academy

Congratulations Eunji Lee!

TRUMBULL, CT — Trumbull resident Eunji Lee was named the valedictorian of Sacred Heart Academy.

Valedictorian Eunji Lee ’18 (Trumbull), a National Merit Finalist, served as president of National Math
Honor Society, treasurer of National Honor Society, and captain of Moody’s Mega Math Challenge and
Math League. She was member of French National Honor Society, Science National Honor Society, Art
Club, Key Club, and Mock Trial, Having played violin since she was six, Eunji served as concertmistress
all four years and represented Sacred Heart at both the Southern Regional and All-State music festivals.
As a junior, Eunji received the Yale University Book Award, the University of Rochester Xerox Award
for Innovation and Information Technology at Honors Convocation. She was awarded the National Center
for Women in Informational Technology Aspirations in Computing Award, earned silver and bronze on
the National French Exam, was an AP Scholar with Distinction, and a semi-finalist in the USA Biology
Olympiad competition.

Eunji participated in independent research and has won several awards at the CT Science and Engineering
Fair, the Institute of Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Competition, and the Intel International Science and
Engineering Fair. In summer 2017, she was selected to the Yale “Discovery to Cure” program to work in
the Clinical Chemistry Department.

Outside of school, Eunji enjoys volunteering for Music Haven and the Bridgeport Kids Empowered by
Your Support music programs.

Eunji looks forward to exploring her interests in research, science, and technology further at Stanford
University where she plans to major in computer science and hopes to continue to share her music.
Eunji will deliver the Valedictory Address at Commencement Exercises for the Sacred Heart Academy
Class of 2018 on Saturday, May 26.
