Trumbull School Board Seeks Advisory Members For Policy Committee

The Trumbull Board of Education is currently seeking five town residents to serve as advisory members of the board's policy committee.

TRUMBULL, CT — The Trumbull Board of Education is currently seeking three parents or guardians of Trumbull Public School students, as well as two community members, to serve as advisory members of the board's policy committee.

The board will appoint new members to a term beginning in November and ending in August 2024. Community members who apply must be Trumbull residents.

In a news release, Assistant Superintendent Susan Iwanicki said creation of policy is one of the most critical responsibilities of the Board of Education, and the board encourages involvement of the community in improving existing policy and proposing new policy.

The policy committee meets regularly in the early evening at the Long Hill Administration Building, Iwanicki said.

Anyone interested in being considered for the policy committee is asked to complete a short application form no later than 5 p.m. on Nov. 4. The form can be found here.
