- Building Sanitation: Custodial and maintenance personnel continue to focus on cleaning our schools thoroughly and effective, with a priority on sanitizing each building properly.
- Upcoming Parent-Teacher Conferences: Parent-teacher conferences scheduled for March 12 (Grades PreK-5) & March 19 (Grades 6-8) will be conducted via telephone rather than in person. This will minimize person-to-person interactions and traffic in our schools. Further details will be eBlasted to parents by the Office of the Assistant Superintendent by the end of the day on March 11.
- Field Trips: All field trips between March 11 & March 31 have been cancelled to ensure the safety of our students and our staff. Field trips approved for after March 31 continue to be evaluated on a daily basis by the Assistant Superintendent with input from building administrators and lead teachers. For each cancelled trip where necessary, the lead teachers and administrators will work to achieve the greatest refund possible for parents/students. For updated information related to a particular trip, please contact the lead teacher, the building principal, or the Office of the Assistant Superintendent.
- Online Learning: At the present time, TPS is developing optional supplemental enrichment learning opportunities based on grade level. These learning opportunities will be available on the TPS website by the end of the day on Thurs., March 12. TPS will be surveying all parents on Wed., March 11, regarding individual students' ability to access these opportunities from home; parents in need of devices will be loaned devices from TPS. At the present time, these opportunities are optional supplemental enrichment learning, and not replacements for instructional days of school per guidelines of the Connecticut State Department of Education.
- After-School Activities: All remaining CIAC winter championship tournaments have been cancelled by CIAC. Additional cancellation of after-school activities and other building usage will be updated here.
