Trumbull Shoplifting Arrest Made: PD
She and two others stole items from a Target store, police said.
TRUMBULL, CT — A Bridgeport woman was arrested after officers identified her from a previous shoplifting at Target in the mall, according to police.
Police responded to the mall Sept. 27 on a report of three people shoplifting. One of the people was identified as Norma Melendez, 39. Investigators watched video from a Sept. 1 shoplifting where the suspects weren’t immediately identified and noticed Melendez there as well, police said.
In that shoplifting she and two others stole a TV and other merchandise worth $384, according to police. Melendez was taken into custody by Fairfield Police April 17 and turned over to Trumbull Police. She was charged with sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny. Bond was set at $5,000.
