Trumbull Target Shoplifters Arrested After Multiple Thefts: PD

Two people were arrested in separate incidents for shoplifting from Target stores in Trumbull, police said.

TRUMBULL, CT — Two people were recently arrested in separate instances for shoplifting several times from Target stores in town, according to police.

Gina Marks, 27, of Bridgeport was arrested April 8 on a warrant for several instances of shoplifting from the Target store at the mall, police said. She was arrested March 7 for shoplifting and store security officers were able to identify her from previous incidents.

Marks would go to self checkout and only pay for one item, but take several out of the store, police said.

She stole around $675 worth of items between four incidents between Feb. 19 and March 4, police said. She was charged with four counts of sixth-degree larceny.

Patrick Cuff, 28, of Shelton was arrested by warrant April 10 and charged with four counts of sixth-degree larceny. He would go to self checkout at the Hawley Lane Target location and pretend to checkout, police said. He primarily took energy drinks.

Police were later able to identify him after he used his driver's license to return items to the store without a receipt. He took around $480 worth of items on four different occasions, police said.
