Trumbull Teacher Wins Outstanding American History Teacher Award
Ms. Katie Boland will now compete at the national level for the award.
TRUMBULL, CT — Trumbull High School teacher and advisor to We the People and Model Congress teams Katie Boland has been recognized as the 2019 American Revolution Outstanding Teacher of American History for the state.
Boland will now compete at the national level. The winning teacher is honored during the Daughters of the American Revolution annual Continental Congress event in Washington, D.C.
Nominees must teach American history or government courses and have an ability to relate history to modern life.

"Katie Boland has once again been recognized for the honor and dignity she brings to Trumbull and we look forward to celebrating with her at our next Board of Education meeting on February 12th," said Superintendent Gary Cialfi.
