Trumbull Woman Rescued During Mount Washington Hike
The woman was in and out of consciousness and her fellow hikers brought her to safety through two miles of snow.
A 28-year-old Trumbull woman was rescued by her four fellow hikers off of Mount Washington.
Monoswita Saha was drifting in and out of consciousness while on the mountain, according to the Hartford Courant. Her four fellow hikers put her in a sleeping bag, tied it up with ropes and dragged her two miles in the snow to the bottom of a trail
The group set out 9 a.m. Saturday. Six hours later after climbing to a peak Saha was having trouble. A 911 operator advised the group to stay put and wait for help, but the temperature was about -5 degrees with strong gusts of wind.
