Trumbull Woman's Nearly 200 Pound Weight Loss Inspires People Around Country
Annamrie Rivera's no-excuses attitude combined with a healthy lifestyle led to her amazing weight loss accomplishment.
Annamarie Rivera’s reliance on food to cope with emotions led to her weighing more than 400 pounds by the time she was 22.
Now a combination of hours in the gym, healthy eating and a no excuses attitude has led to an amazing nearly 200-pound weight loss, according to WTNH.
Rivera’s story was recently featured in Women’s Health.

She said one day she was driving home from work and passed a Planet Fitness gym. She decided to pull a U-turn and sign-up for a membership. She was self conscious and decided to walk laps around the block to kick-off her weight loss goal, she told Women’s Health.

- Ending a 48-can-per-week Diet Coke habit and instead drinking water.
- Kicking fast food meals for healthy self-cooked items with lots of produce.
- Avoiding the temptation of eating out.
- Not quitting even after a car accident led to her not working out for a year.
