Trumbull Worker Pinned Under Industrial Leaf Vacuum

TRUMBULL, CT — A town worker sustained serious injuries after he became pinned under an industrial leaf vacuum.

Firefighters used a hydraulic lift to rescue the worker, according to the Connecticut Post. The incident took place on Mallet Drive during the town's annual leaf pickup Tuesday morning.

The workers injuries were serious, but not fatal.

Trumbull vacuums leaves for pickup unlike most other surrounding towns which only offer bagged pick up options.
