Two Charged with Credit Card Fraud in Trumbull

The two had tried to purchase items at a local liquor store, police said.

TRUMBULL, CT — A man and a woman were arrested after they committed credit card fraud in Trumbull, according to police.

Regina Bonaventure, 28, of Hempstead, NY tried to use a credit card at a liquor store and it was declined. The card didn't seem authentic and a clerk called police.

Officers searched her and found that she had additional fake cards, according to police.

Brian Palmer, 20, of Springfield Gardens, NY was with Bonaventure and had walked out of the store. Police determined that he knew about the fraudulent activity, police said.

Bonaventure was charged with two counts of criminal attempt at sixth-degree larceny, four counts of conspiracy to commit credit card theft and two counts of conspiracy to illegally use a credit card.

Palmer was charged with four counts of criminal attempt to commit sixth-degree larceny, two counts of conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny and four counts each of conspiracy to commit credit card theft and illegal use of a credit card.

Both were held on bond.
