Two Vehicles Stolen in Trumbull Overnight

A total of nine cars were entered in a section of town.

TRUMBULL, CT — A total of two vehicles were stolen and seven others were rummaged through in the overnight hours between Monday and Tuesday in the area of lower White Plains Road and Beardsley Parkway.

All the vehicles were unlocked, said Lt. Douglas Smith, police spokesman. A 2013 Toyota and 2005 Honda were taken and recovered in the north end of Bridgeport.

In addition some purses, credit cards and other property was taken.

"Police have linked these thefts to a group of juveniles who are moving from town to town and through different neighborhoods overnight, avoiding police patrols," Smith said.
