Unique New Food Hall Brings Mix-And-Match Ordering To Trumbull

TRUMBULL, CT — A new Wonder location officially opened Thursday in Trumbull, bringing the chain's signature mix-and-match ordering experience to customers in town.

Economic and Community Development Director Rina Bakalar confirmed Monday to Patch the new Wonder location held a soft opening July 21 and 22 before officially opening at 965 White Plains Road the next day.

"Wonder is a food hall concept," Bakalar said in an email, "it's unique [in] that it brings food item choices from multiple restaurants to one place."

According to additional press materials, customers can order dishes from over 20 restaurants and cuisines in a single order, available for dine-in, pickup or delivery.

"The location in the center of town is convenient to most neighborhoods in Trumbull," Bakalar said, "and easily accessible off of Route 8, Route 25 [and] the Merritt Parkway."

Additional press materials note the Trumbull location offers "a flexible, family-friendly option for everything from weeknight dinners to group gatherings."

Trumbull diners can choose from dishes inspired by celebrated chefs such as Bobby Flay, Marcus Samuelson and Michael Symon alongside favorites like Tejas Barbecue and Magnolia Bakery.

In addition to Trumbull, Wonder operates Connecticut locations in Stamford, Fairfield, Darien, Milford, Westport, New Haven, Danbury and Newington.

Locations are also listed as "coming soon" to Hamden, West Hartford and Farmington Valley on the company's website.

In a Facebook post Thursday, town officials welcomed the new Trumbull location to the area.

"We are excited to welcome Wonder to Trumbull," the town's post reads. "This new restaurant concept will provide great new food options for residents and visitors."
