US Army Captain David Stone Visits the Long Hill Children's Center for Veteran's Day

Long Hill United Methodist Church's Children's Center hosted a US Army Captain and Trumbull Resident to educate its preschoolers on 11/11

Trumbull, CT - On Veteran’s Day, US Army Captain and Trumbull resident David Stone visited the Long Hill Children’s Center at Long Hill United Methodist Church. He spoke to full time preschoolers, ages three and four, to educate them on Veteran’s Day and what it means to be a Veteran.

The preschoolers loved celebrating Veteran’s Day with a real Veteran! They learned a lot from his presentation, including how to salute. The children also received stickers at the end of the presentation.

Captain Stone served in Iraq from 2003-2005, along with his wife who was stationed there as well. He also served in Afghanistan in 2014.
