Vehicle Rolls Over, Telephone Pole Breaks In Trumbull: Fire Officials

Long Hill Volunteer Fire Co. crews were called to a rollover crash in Trumbull and found a car on its roof and a telephone pole broken.

TRUMBULL, CT — Long Hill Volunteer Fire Co. crews were called to a rollover crash Friday morning in Trumbull and found a car on its roof and a telephone pole broken, according to fire officials.

In a news release posted to Facebook, fire officials said the incident was reported on Stonehouse Road as crews were still responding to a structure fire reported earlier that day on Merrill Road.

In addition to Long Hill, crews from the Trumbull Center Fire District and the Nichols Fire Department were called to the rollover crash.

When crews arrived, they found a car on its roof and a telephone pole broken from the incident, fire officials said. A picture of the vehicle can be viewed here.

The driver was able to escape from the car before crews arrived, according to fire officials.

Firefighters then stabilized the vehicle and assisted police and emergency medical service crews with scene control, fire officials said.
