Winning Scratch-Off Lottery Ticket Sold In Trumbull

A Trumbull resident is the lucky winner, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

TRUMBULL, CT — A Trumbull resident is $10,000 richer this week after claiming a winning scratch-off lottery ticket purchased locally, the Connecticut Lottery announced.

On May 17, Alex Smeriglio claimed a winning 10X Cash 15th Edition ticket that was purchased at the Global Montello Group gas station on Monroe Turnpike.

The game, which costs $10 per ticket, began earlier this month, and as of Monday, 219 grand prizes of $10,000 remained unclaimed. More than 5.2 million tickets have been printed, and the overall odds of winning are 1 in 3.95.
