Woman Attempted to Fill Fake Prescription in Trumbull: PD
A man called in the prescription with a DEA number and pretended to be from a doctor's office, police said.

TRUMBULL, CT — A Brooklyn woman was arrested after she tried to fill a fraudulent prescription at the CVS located inside the Target store on Hawley Lane, police said.
Police were called Jan. 16 after an employee felt the man calling in a prescription for cough syrup with codeine was suspicious. The caller had a valid DEA number for prescriptions and pretended to be from a doctor's office.
Police called the doctor's office in question and learned that the prescription didn't originate from the office and was fraudulent, police said.
