Woman Caught Swapping Price Tags in Trumbull: PD

TRUMBULL, CT- A New Haven woman was arrested after she was allegedly caught swapping sale tags in order to get a lower cost on merchandise at Home Goods April 22.

Police got a report of a woman who bought what was really $46.98 of merchandise for a lower amount due to tag swapping, police said. She also allowed an 11-year-old child that was with her to hold a bag of merchandise.

Security caught on to the scheme and went to stop her, but she exited the store and fled, police said.

Her friend stayed behind and called her to tell her to turn herself in.

Within a couple hours Kayhla Bozeman, 52, of New Haven turned herself in and was charged with sixth-degree larceny and risk of injury to a minor.
