Woman Pulls Knife on Ex at Trumbull Mall: PD
The man was assaulted by his ex-girlfriend, police said.

TRUMBULL, CT — A New Haven woman was arrested at the Trumbull mall after she assaulted her ex-boyfriend and threatened to kill him with a knife, police said.
A patrol officer was flagged down outside the mall on April 11 around 6:50 p.m. and told about the assault.
Police learned that Hayley Nicole Welcome, 22, went to the mall where her ex-boyfriend is employed to retrieve belongings from his car. She became angry about the break up and began to punch him and rip a chain off his neck, police said.

She then pulled a knife out and threatened to kill him.
The officer approached the scene and could see Welcome yelling at the victim. A bystander said she had a knife and threw it away.

The woman was taken into custody and the knife was recovered. The victim received minor injuries and declined medical attention.
Welcome was charged with carrying a dangerous weapon, third-degree assault, second-degree threatening and breach of peace. She was held on a $10,000 bond.
