The 10 Most Dangerous Roads In Vernon

VERNON, CT — Vernon’s most dangerous roadway over the past four years is Route 83 with more than 600 crashes.

The University of Connecticut Crash Data Repository has crunched data from The Department of Public Safety and the state Department of Transportation. In all, there were 3,002 crashes in town since 2015 and 5,712 vehicles were involved. A total of 7,537 people were affected.

Four crashes were fatal in the time period, while 36 involved serious injuries and 262 minor injuries.
