100 Fentanyl Bags, Guns, Seized In Vernon Narcotics Raid

VERNON, CT — A raid on a Vernon home earlier this month led to guns, drugs and money being confiscated by authorities.

On March 7, members of the East Central Narcotics Task Force, the Drug Enforcement Administration's Diversion Task Force and the Vernon Police Department executed a search warrant at the home and a suspect in the investigation, 18-year-old Tajh Taylor, of Vernon, was taken into custody, according to a news release.

He was charged with possession of stolen firearms, criminal possession of a firearm, illegal possession of high capacity magazines, risk of Injury to minor, interfering with an officer, the sale of narcotics (fentanyl and cocaine), possession of narcotics with intent to sell (fentanyl and cocaine), operating a drug factory, and possession drug paraphernalia.

Taylor was held on a total of $650,000 in bonds.

During the search of the residence officers located and seized a large quantity of narcotics, three stolen handguns, six high-capacity magazines, large quantities of ammunition, and an undisclosed sum of cash.

The drugs totaled about 12 grams of crack cocaine and 100 bags of fentanyl.
