11-Year-Old Hit By Vehicle In Vernon In Weekend Collision

VERNON, CT — An 11-year-old girl was hit by a vehicle in Vernon over the weekend.

The crash took place Saturday at about 5 p.m. along the 100 block of Prospect Street, police said.

The child was taken by ambulance to Connecticut Children's Medical Center with undisclosed injuries, police said. On Monday morning, police said, "It looks like she'll be OK."

Metro Traffic Services and Vernon police are investigating the crash. The driver has been cooperating with the investigation and no charges have been filed, police said.
