$111 Million Vernon Budget Heading To Annual Town Meeting
The 2026-27 fiscal year budget proposal represents a slight tax increase for Vernon residents.

VERNON, CT — The Vernon Town Council Wednesday night approved a $111 million budget proposal for the 2026-27 fiscal year.
The spending plan now goes to the annual Vernon Town Meeting for approval. The meeting is slated for April 28 at 7 p.m. in the Rockville High School Auditorium.
The bottom line is $111,115,831. The number was finalized after the council trimmed $109,940 off the total Wednesday.

If approved by voters, the tax rate would climb to 36.75 mills, which is .66 mills more than the current year.
The total increase is 1.83 percent.
