17-Year-Old Clocked At 140 MPH On I-84 In Vernon: State Police
A teen was caught weaving all over a stretch of I-84 in Vernon at a high rate of speed, state police said.

VERNON, CT — A state police report indicates a 17-year-old driver is facing criminal charges after being clocked at better than 140 mph on a stretch of Interstate 84 in Vernon.
The teen's name was not released, per state law. He was charged with driving to endanger the occupant of a car and reckless driving, according to a state police report.
The report indicates that at 7:13 p.m. on Feb. 9, a trooper stopped a car on I-84 east after closing the vehicle at speeds that topped 140 mph. He was weaving not only through all four lanes, but the shoulder as well, according to the report.

He is due in court on Feb. 21.
