2 Found Passed Out In Vernon Restaurant Lot Facing Drug Charges
Two people found asleep in a vehicle in a Vernon restaurant parking area are facing drug charges, police said.

VERNON, CT — Two people were found asleep in restaurant parking lot wound up having a stash of fentanyl in the vehicle, Vernon police said.
Details of the July 18 incident were released this week. The restaurant is on Route 83 in Vernon, according to a report.
The incident began with a call for a welfare check at 6:20 that evening, police said. Michelle Simard, 49, of Vernon and Santiago Carrion, 48, of East Hartford, were both found asleep in a vehicle in the restaurant parking lot, according to a report. Police discovered 10 wax folds of fentanyl in the vehicle.

Both were charged with possession of a controlled substance and the use of drug paraphernalia.
Both also posted $20,000 bonds and are due in court on Aug. 18, records show.
