2 Upcoming Fundraising Events Supporting Vernon Cultural District
A campaign aimed at expanding arts and cultural programming in the community is taking off in Vernon.

VERNON, CT — Two upcoming fundraising events will support the Vernon Cultural District as organizers continue a campaign aimed at expanding arts and cultural programming in the community.
Also, a crowdfunding campaign which is currently underway at patronicity.com/streetfest.
The district is currently raising funds through an online campaign hosted on patronicity.com, with proceeds supporting ongoing development and programming efforts.

The first fundraiser, “Fuel the Fest,” is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 31, from noon to 3 p.m. at the New England Motorcycle Museum, located at 200 West Main St. A $10 admission fee includes museum entry, a complimentary beverage for the first 60 attendees from Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee Truck, and an entry into a raffle for a $100 gift card to Luna Piercing & Fine Jewelry, a Cultural District partner.
A second event, “Cupid & Clay,” will be held Feb. 14 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Studio 467, located at 435 Hartford Turnpike. The couples-focused pottery workshop is priced at $250 per couple and includes materials, instruction, kiln-firing of two custom clay pieces, appetizers and small bites, and a special surprise for participants. Attendance is limited to 12 couples, or 24 people.

Organizers said both events are intended to build community engagement while providing financial support for the district’s cultural initiatives.
