2 Vernon Municipal Unions Agree To Raises

VERNON, CT — Two unions representing two sets of municpal workers in Vernon are getting raises of just less than 2 percent in new three-year contracts.

The contracts were made available by Vernon officials Tuesday.

The professionals union's deal is retroactive to 2019 and extends through this year into 2021. The raises are 1.85 percent each year.

The union represents high-ranking department employees.

Civilian workers at the Vernon Police Department have a new contract that calls for raises of 1.95 percent for 2020, 2021 and 2022.

The union represents dispatchers and records department employees.
