2022 Manchester Memorial Day Parade Featuring Special Guest

MANCHESTER, CT — Manchester's 2022 Memorial Day parade will feature the First Company Governor's Foot Guard in addition to the traditional ceremonies.

The parade is scheduled for May 30, with step-off at at 9:30 a.m.

The First Company Governor's Foot Guard has been Serving Connecticut since 1771, and is the nation's oldest continuously serving military unit.

The parade route will begin at the Army and Navy Club at 1090 Main St., then turn east on Center Street and then turn west at Agostinelli Park (the former Munro Park). It will conclude at Center Memorial Park with a Memorial Day program honoring fallen veterans.

In the event the parade is called off because of inclement weather, the Center Memorial Park Program will be staged indoors at The Salvation Army, 661 Main St., at 11 a.m. (no masks required).

All are welcome. Marchers will assemble at 8:45 a.m. at the Army and Navy Club.

Manchester's Memorial Day observance will begin with a Church Service and Massing of the Colors at The Salvation Army, 661 Main St., on May 29 at 9:45 a.m. Major R. Michael Himes will be officiating the Service. The public is invited to attend.
