2026 Primary Day Sample Ballots Released For Vernon

VERNON, CT — The Connecticut Secretary of the State has made available sample ballots for Primary Day in Glastonbury — Aug. 11.

All districts will feature the Democratic primary for gubernatorial candidacy — incumbent Ned Lamont and the challenger, Josh Elliott.

Vernon voters registered as Democrats will be able to cast ballots in a Democratic primary for governor on Tuesday, Aug. 11, with polls open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the town’s four regular polling places.

The polling places are Northeast School, Rockville High School, Skinner Road School and Vernon Center Middle School.

Under state law, only Democratic voters are allowed to vote in the Democratic primary election. The town also announced seven days of early voting ahead of primary day.

Early voting sessions will begin Aug. 3 and all will be staged at the office of the Vernon Registrar of Voters, 375 Hartford Turnpike, Room 118. The schedule calls for voting from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Aug. 3, 5, 7, 8 and 9.

Voters will also have extended early voting hours from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Aug. 4 and 6. Those sessions are part of the same seven-day early voting period leading up to the primary.

The Aug. 11 primary day voting hours are separate from the early voting schedule. On primary day, voters can go to one of Vernon’s four regular polling places during the 14-hour window between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m.
