2nd Time Not A Charm In Vernon For Dirt Bike-Riding Manchester Teen
A Manchester teen on a dirt bike eluded Vernon police once, but was captured on a second try to speed through town, police said.

VERNON, CT — A Manchester teen speeding through Vernon on a yellow dirt bike failed to elude the cops and was eventually corralled, an arrest report indicates.
The teen is due in court Tuesday and is facing charges that include engaging police in a pursuit, traffic signal violations, interfering with police and driving an unregistered vehicle.
Police released details of the May 11 incident Monday.

At 6 p.m. that day, Vernon police attempted to stop the teen at the Talcottville Road-Hartford Turnpike fork as he was headed toward Manchester, according to an arrest report. Just less than three hours later, he and the dirt bile were back in Vernon, but was pulled over on Merline Road, according to an arrest report.
