911 Hang-Up Leads Vernon Cops to Wanted Man

An early morning 911 hang-up led police to a man wanted for violating probation, police said.

VERNON, CT — An early morning 911 hang-up led police to a man wanted for violating probation, police said.

Dispatch records show the 911 call was placed from a home on Prospect Street at 12:30 a.m. Thursday.

According to a report, police went to check on the home after the hang-up and discovered 27-year-old Kenneth Colon in the dwelling. A warrant had been issued for Colon's arrest by New Britain Superior Court after he violated probation in a 2015 conviction for assault on a puboic safety officer.

He was booked on a $100,000 bond, police said.
