
About a half-hour into her singles match against Wethersfield's Kristen Ciampi on Monday, Rockville High's Julie Granger was not having the best of days.
Oh, did things change.
She was down 4-love, but rallied to tie the set at 4-all. She then won it 7-5.
The second set was close, but Granger also showed signs of dominance in winning it 6-3.
''It was a great come-from-behind victory,'' Rockville coach Carol Hartmann said. "She has found a way to win matches by figuring out her opponents weaknesses.''
Weathersfield was a 6-1 winer at home in girls tennis.
In singles, Amy Wilson of Wethersfield defeated Meagan Donahue of Rockville, 6-2, 6-4. Catherine Preysru of Wethersfield was a 6-1, 6-0 winner over Hannah Hilton of Rockville and Wethersfield's Lindsay Pederson defeated Rockville's Nicole Ciampa, 6-3, 6-2.
In doubles, Shannon Peterson/ and Christine Mogolicki of Wethersfield defeated Ally Johnson and Pam Graves of RHS, 6-0, 6-2. Alina Magenne and Carleigh Pelusa of Weathersfield beat Sara Shane and Chantell Moodie of Rockville, 6-0, 6-1. Kerri-ann Libera and Colleen Clonear of Wethersfield defeated Elizabeth Buxton and Katherine Cutting of Rockville, 6-2, 6-3.
Rockville (1-5) is at home against Plainville on Wednesday.

Rockville dropped a 3-0 contest to Norwich Free Academy at home on Monday.
The scores were 25-12, 25-15, 25-13.
Rae-Quan Barber and Vince Desilets had two kills each for the Rams.
