According to bread.org, a website dedicated to ending starvation, 49 million Americans struggle to put food on the table. 16.2 million of them are children.
There’s a group of students lead by just one teacher who are staring starvation in the face and saying: “Stop”.
Countless students in this bold woman’s class work together in a harmonic synergy to end it. They slave over a hot stove making cupcakes for a fundraiser. A fundraiser that needs support to stop hunger. 100% of the proceeds go to a Hockanum Valley charity to pay for food for the starving.
The students continue to slave with that in mind. They work for hours at a time, hoping every cupcake can be sold, to give just one more cent to end a preventable pain, hunger.
Tears fill the cupcake mixture from their warm hearts. And they dispose of the mixture. A waste of potential food matter, maybe. However, only the best cupcakes are served to the fundraiser attendees - they do not allow contaminated foods to touch a benefactors tongue. Only the best of foods mixed with passion and not tears may be sold to those who will stand up and help the world.
And on 4/25/13 at 6 pm at Rockville High School near the auditorium., we all pray that this will become true. That every cupcake can be sold. For only $10 one can get 4 cupcakes crafted by students with a righteous cause. And every dollar not gained, is another dollar not paid to help starving people.
These earlier mentioned students have worked day by day to create food. Food that may be purchased to support a charity. Don’t let those kid’s work be left to a vain demise.
So let me ask you, dear reader, do you want to help end hunger, even if just for one more day? For some people life is a struggle. A small group of students and their teacher know that. A small group of students and their teacher are waging war on hunger. Why aren’t you?
